Janet & Don Beasley
Lady Violet & Sir Bwana
"That is incredible detail." ~ "The creativity is overwhelming." ~ "I've never seen such an imagination." ~ "As a fellow modeler/artist, I have to say I've never seen detailing done this well. I commend you." ~ "I had to come back, that gun called to me." ~ "Your talent at mixing the right colors is astounding." ~ "Fabulous work!" These are actual quotes from fans of BeaslePunk.
It's safe to say, when this epic couple's fantastical imaginations, creative genius, and engineering talents collide, award-winning 3D art explodes! At the sight of Don & Janet's masterpieces fans are sent time-traveling to the past (or future) where magnificent, dreamed-up worlds exist...these are the worlds of steampunk - fantasy - and science fiction.
Don & Janet (aka: Sir Bwana and Lady Violet) have been invited multiple times to show their work at the Orlando Museum of Art's First Thursday Steampunk Event where they received "People's Choice Award." Their pieces have also been featured in the Full Sail University short film "Sun Blade," a steampunk western. Other pieces are now iconic scenery at multiple Tijuana Flats Restaurants , Servando's , and Old Town Portrait Gallery in the central Florida area. Their fans who have purchased their weaponry have taken BeaslePunk across the nation and have spanned the globe into Asia!
What makes BeaslePunk 3D art stand apart? Here are a few of the top contributors: Every autographed BeaslePunk piece Don & Janet bring to fruition is unique in the sense that all sides are embellished differently. Each weaponry piece is also given a name that is immediately logged and retired (never to be used again), making every creation a true original. On the average, the process to make the pieces appear authentic to their "era" takes 68 steps.
Their BeaslePunk creations include steampunk - science fiction - and fantasy style weaponry such as guns and crossbows that range in size from 4 inches to 4 feet, and even larger. They also create mini steampunk canvas art. Don & Janet have commissioned a steampunk-style 3D ceiling tile consisting of hot air balloons dangling gracefully from a faux copper ceiling tile that is adorned with embellishments such as feathers, gears, and bottle caps. Their largest piece is Oswald. Oswald is an interactive, show-stopping robotic style art piece that comes to life at certain events where the couple exhibit.
Don & Janet are high-school sweethearts who married in July of 1981. Don currently works as a technical planner at a well known theme park in Orlando, and Janet is the author of the epic high-fantasy, "The Hidden Earth Series." Together Don & Janet enjoy kayaking Florida's scenic spring-fed rivers, photographing nature, and playing table tennis. Their loves of life include animals, forests, mountains, beaches, and live theatrical productions. They hope to some day be able to travel the world and share their artistic passions with others.
